With our
factory in Kiruwanaganga being awarded the ISO 22000:2005
certificate by SGS - UK on the 19th of January 2006 we continue to
reinforce our leadership position in the tea industry. We are proud
to say Kiruwanaganga is the 1st Food/Tea Processing Factory in Sri
Lanka to receive this prestigious International certification.
This International standard specifies that all the elements of the
requirements of food the manufacturing process conforms to food
safety standards. This includes the entire production process from
harvesting up to the point of dispatch. The standard integrates the
principles of the HACCP systems as well as application of ISO 9001
:2000 Quality Management Systems.
