Nestled in the hills, the Talawakelle Nanu Oya tea country has been the home of some of the best teas in the world for a very long time. The “Matakelle", " Hollyrood”, “Great Western”, “Dressford, Bearwell”, “Logie”, “Somerset” and “Redella” Estates, under the TTEL High Grown-zone, offer premium quality teas whilst the low growns from “Deniyaya”, “Kiruwanaganga”, “Hanford”, “Pitiyagoda” and “Moragalla” Estates in the “Deniyaya” and “Galle” area are very well known for their special attributes.
